ARK: Survival Evolved Server Setup#
Host your own ARK server with custom settings, mods, and maps.
Quick Setup#
- Create a new server and select ARK: Survival Evolved
- Choose your map (The Island, Ragnarok, etc.)
- Configure basic settings
- Allow time for initial download (~80GB)
Note
ARK servers require significant resources. We recommend the Director or Astral plan for optimal performance.
Server Configuration#
Edit GameUserSettings.ini to customize gameplay:

Installing Mods#
- Find mods on the Steam Workshop
- Copy the Mod ID from the URL
- Add to your server's mod list in the control panel
- Restart and wait for mod download

Cluster Setup#
Run multiple maps in a cluster:
- Create servers for each map
- Use the same cluster ID across all servers
- Enable cross-ARK transfers
- Players can transfer between maps via obelisks
